Dili District, Timor Leste (Part 2 of 3)

Content : Dili | Places for food

If you are staying at Tropical Hotel and just want to stay in your hotel for lunch, try the buffet lunch provided by them. For country that is not developed, it is considered good enough. It will cost you about USD5.00.

If you are staying at Audian Hotel, then you may consider New 88 Restaurant. It is just walking distance from the hotel. The owner of this restaurant is a Malaysian, as such the food is suitable for Asian. Prices are reasonable and the dishes are quite nice. Oh yes, you should try their big yummy 'BAO'. You can get our favourite drinks Spring Valley Mango & Banana and Solo at this restaurant.

Craving for ice-cream in the hot weather of Timor Leste? You can visit Tropical Boutique Bakery & Cafe. They have a variety of ice-creams, desserts and coffee. It has a cosy atmosphere to enjoy the afternoon.

You can try out Dili Foodcourt for lunch too. The owner is a Singaporean. He brought into Dili the concept of Singapore Foodcourt there. Of course the place is not as big as those you can find in Singapore. For Singaporean, it would be a place for meals if you can't get use to local style of cooking.

What about dinner? You may visit Nelayan Restaurant for seafood. Nothing special or fantastic about it. Alternatively you may want to try Saigon Restaurant. Saigon Restaurant is opened by vietnamese. They serve more appeatising dinner and you won't regret paying for the food.
