Macau Peninsula, Macau, SAR Of China (Part 2 of 6)

Map of Venture @ Macau Peninsula

The above map simply shows how much to cover in Macau Peninsula itself. Our achievement is that we manage to cover most of the recommended attractions, shopping and dinning places from friends and bloggers. Yet there are still much to be discovered in this small island.

Our first destination is Senado Square where most of the places we planned to cover are. We walk down Rua de Pequim (北京街), turn right to Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues (羅理基博士大馬路), walk down to Lisboa Hotel (葡京酒店) and cross the road to Grand Lisboa (新葡京酒店). We stop by the hotels to take some photos.

We hit the road again by walking down Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro (新马路) and at the first junction where it intersects road Avenida de D. Joao IV (约翰四世大马路), you can see the signboard pointing to Margaret's Cafe e Nata (瑪嘉烈蛋撻). Simply follow the signboard direction and Margaret's Cafe e Nata is soon in sight. It is famous for portuguese egg tart.

Walk along the same narrow path that leads you to Margaret's Cafe e Nata to reach the end of the path. At the end of Patio do Comandante Mata e Oliveira (马统领围), just look opposite and there you have the next famous eatery, Chan Kong Kei (陣光記飯店). It is famous for roast black pepper duck. The rest of the food we order are also delicious.

We are back to Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro (新马路). Walking along this road, we soon find our next eatery Yee Shun Milk (義順牛奶) , before we reach Senado Square. It is famous for hot steam milk pudding called “shuang pi dun nai” 双皮炖奶. Other desserts/drinks are tempting too. The cold papaya milk 木瓜奶 tastes good too.

With all the nice food we have along the way, we are ready to shop, visit places of attractions and continue with more food at Senado Square, which will be featured in the next coming post.
